Brewery Huyghe signs Green Deal with Flemish Government Focus on more sustainable water use during brewing process

Melle, 6 September 2018 - On the eve of the Belgian Beer Weekend in Brussels, nine[1] Flemish breweries - including Huyghe – are signing an agreement with the Flemish Government to join forces in making water consumption in the brewing sector more sustainable. The objective is to reduce the consumption of groundwater from aquifers in the brewing process by 2022. Brewery Huyghe - which has been working hard for years to become the greenest brewer in the country - already has implemented many measures to achieve this goal, but commits itself to raising the bar even higher by signing the Deal.
